HOW MUCH ARCHITECT CHARGE FOR A BUILDING DESIGN?

COA Council of Architecture in India given Minimum Professional Fees by Category has been given. For Residential Building the Architect fees will be Around 7.5 Percent of the total Construction Cost. which includes design, periodical site visits and guide up to completion of project.

I NEED ONLY DESIGN AND DRAWING, HOW MUCH ARCHITECT CHARGES?

If the Project is Small scale and the Fees are fixed by the architect as consultancy basis based on actual work and time spended on the project.

I WANT ARCHITECT TO COME AND VISIT MY SITE PROVIDE CONCEPT IDEA SKETCH? ( Rough Idea )?

No. 

The Norms by COA is  clearly Invite and give Formal Letter of appointment. Must.!!

You First Invite Architect in formal Letter of Appointment by giving letter and you should accept to Pay Site Visit Travel Charges ( Actual First Class AC train ticket and food) and One day Visiting charges. Minimum of Rs:1500/-to 4000/- + Travel + Food . But This not mean Architect accepted your project he come and visit your site.

Architecture is not a Artisit Service. Architecture is Deep more about space planning, climatic study, Zone analysis etc.. Concept ideas are purely creative part of a Architect.
